Prince George to Join Eton as Royal Family Tightens Palace Balcony Access

The British royal household has further limited public access to the palace balcony, allowing only members who work for the Crown. At recent events, such as the Trooping the Colour ceremony, attendance fell from over 40 relatives a decade ago to just 13.

Lady Pamela Hicks, a former lady‑in‑waiting to the late Queen Elizabeth II, was buried at St‑Bartholomew’s Church in Oxfordshire, with Prince William’s sister‑in‑law, Lady Helen Taylor, representing the King. The funeral followed a day that also featured the King’s birthday parade.

In education news for the monarchy, Prince George, who will turn 13 next month and is second in line to the throne, will attend Eton College, moving from his current Lambrook school.
