Prince Harry makes first UK public appearance at Invictus awards

Prince Harry has made his first public appearance in the United Kingdom since returning from California with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their two children. He attended the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards in London, an event dedicated to honoring the resilience of wounded and ill service members. During the ceremony, Harry described the recent transition as “eventful” but noted that the family is settling in, with their children having started school.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Harry and Meghan remain non-working members of the Royal Family, maintaining a status akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests. While the couple has established a residence in the UK, reports suggest they may split their time between Britain and America.

Logistical challenges have also emerged, including reports that the family changed their children's school due to security concerns regarding travel routes and potential risks. Despite these complexities, Harry expressed satisfaction with being back on British soil and is looking forward to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
