Prince Harry and Meghan to hold first joint UK engagement in Nottingham

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to make their first joint public engagement in the United Kingdom since their return in August. The couple is scheduled to visit Nottingham, the site of their first official appearance as an engaged couple in 2017. During this visit, they plan to engage with local organizations supporting youth through music, film, and sport, as well as initiatives addressing food poverty.

Despite their return to the UK, the couple is reportedly skipping the traditional royal Christmas celebrations at Sandringham. Due to ongoing tensions with King Charles III and Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to spend the holidays either in California or at their current residence in Northamptonshire, likely accompanied by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

Their return to Britain has been marked by discussions regarding their status. While the King has indicated they should be treated as “private citizens,” the couple appears determined to maintain a public presence through charitable engagements. Additionally, reports indicate ongoing discussions regarding their security arrangements and the privacy of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, while living in the UK.
