Prince Harry and Meghan to return to UK with children for Invictus Games

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom in July for the Invictor Games in Birmingham. They will be accompanied by their children, seven‑year‑old Archie and five‑year‑old Lilibet, marking the first time the family has visited Britain together in four years.

The royal household has offered the couple a royal residence for the stay, although the Sussexes have not yet responded. The invitation follows reports that Harry may have used emotional leverage on King Charles to secure the level of security that was reduced after the couple stepped back from senior royal duties. Commentator Tom Bower described the tactic as “emotional blackmail” and said the King “is not so anxious to meet Archie and Lilibet, and Harry’s presence in Britain is always a problem.”

The visit is being seen as a possible step toward reconciliation between the Sussexes and the monarch, coinciding with the Invictor Games, a sporting event founded by Harry for wounded veterans.
