Prince Harry considers Diana documentary amid royal memoir controversy

Prince Harry is reportedly exploring various projects to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death in August 2027. Among the possibilities is a new documentary, potentially produced by Archewell Productions and distributed via Netflix. Harry has reportedly reached out to friends and family, including Diana’s brother, Earl Charles Spencer, to discuss potential involvement.

This news coincides with the release of Charles Spencer’s new memoir, ‘Swan Song: Diana, My Sister’. The book contains controversial claims regarding King Charles III, including an allegation that the King reacted to Diana’s death with a sense of “carefree joviality,” as if he had “won the lottery,” because her passing would allow him to marry Camilla. Spencer also recounts a dispute regarding whether Prince William and Prince Harry should walk behind their mother’s coffin.

Buckingham Palace has issued an unusual response to the claims in the memoir, stating that “the pain caused by a family bereavement can affect the way certain events are remembered.” The release of the book and the potential documentary highlight the ongoing complexities and tensions within the British Royal Family.
