Prince Harry may stay at Althorp House during UK Invictus Games visit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning a visit to the United Kingdom for the Invictus Games scheduled in Birmingham from July 10 to 17. Media reports say they could be accommodated at Althorp House, the historic family home of the late Princess Diana and property of the Spencer family. The estate, which normally welcomes visitors from July 1 to August 31, will be closed to the public on July 10‑11, suggesting a possible use for the Sussex couple.

The offer is said to come from Charles Spencer, Diana’s younger brother, though the couple have not confirmed whether they will accept it. Security arrangements remain unclear; a royal protection detail funded by taxpayers would be provided only after a formal request is made at least 30 days before travel and evaluated case‑by‑case. Accompanying the Duke and Duchess will be their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, marking their first joint trip to the UK since 2022.
