Prince William launches Children's Earthshot in Mumbai

Prince William is set to travel to Mumbai, India, to launch the inaugural ‘Children's Earthshot’ initiative. This new format is designed to motivate children and teenagers to develop and implement their own solutions to environmental problems.

As part of the initiative, the ‘I CAN Earthshot Challenge’ has already reached approximately one million young people across 15,000 schools in 24 Indian states. The program aims to move beyond mere awareness, encouraging active participation. Fifteen selected teams will travel to participate in workshops and presentations.

Before his trip, Prince William shared details of the project with his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, explaining how young people can contribute to the evolution of his environmental work. While the royal children have been briefed on the project, they are not currently scheduled to accompany their father to Mumbai.
