Prince Harry's UK visit stalls as Prince William declines reunion

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan a private trip to the United Kingdom in July 2026, marking the start of a countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games. The couple will travel with their children, Archie (7) and Lilibet (5), the first time the Sussex children have been in Britain since 2022.

Royal insiders say Prince William has no plans to meet his younger brother during the visit. Sources describe a lack of direct communication—no texts, calls or emails—between the brothers for six years, with Harry reportedly giving up on reconciliation after receiving only “radio silence.”

Princess Catherine (Kate) is reportedly urging William to attend a meeting, motivated in part by a desire to see her nephews, Archie and Lilibet, but William remains hesitant. King Charles III remains optimistic about a possible future rapprochement, while the palace has not commented on the schedule.

The strained relationship, intensified by Harry’s 2023 memoir and his public criticism of the monarchy, continues to limit any joint appearances, and security considerations for the Sussex children have also been noted.
