Prince Jackson honors Michael Jackson’s legacy in Las Vegas

Prince Jackson made a rare public appearance in Las Vegas to honor what would have been his father Michael Jackson’s 68th birthday. During the event at the Mandalay Bay resort, Prince joined fans at the Cirque du Soleil production ‘Michael Jackson ONE’ to celebrate the pop icon’s legacy.

Prince, 29, spoke to People about the enduring impact of his father’s music, noting how rewarding it is to see new generations discovering Michael’s message. He also reflected on the recent biopic ‘Michael’, which he served as an executive producer for. The film stars his cousin, Jaafar Jackson, in the title role. Prince described seeing Jaafar in character as an ‘emotional shock’ due to the striking resemblance to his late father.

While Prince participated in the public celebration, his sister Paris Jackson has previously noted that their father often preferred privacy regarding his birthday. Meanwhile, the musical legacy continues to see commercial success, with hits like ‘Billie Jean’ appearing on global music charts.
