Prince posthumous album ‘Timeless’ to feature unreleased tracks

The Prince Estate has announced the release of ‘Timeless’, the fourth posthumous album featuring previously unreleased music from the late pop icon Prince. The collection consists of ten chronologically ordered tracks recorded between 1977 and 2016, covering nearly the entirety of his musical career.

Sound engineer Chris James, who worked with Prince during his final years of studio work and touring, has remastered the recordings for this release. The album includes early works such as ‘I Am You’, which was likely recorded in 1977 at a home studio in Minneapolis, as well as alternative versions of known songs, such as an original 1981 version of ‘Tick Tick Bang’.

This release follows the death of Prince on April 21, 2016, at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota.
