Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, have departed Balmoral Castle, traveling via a commercial airline to return south. This follows a tradition of the family opting for scheduled flights rather than private jets during their travels.

This departure coincides with reports that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are relocating from the United States to the United Kingdom. The couple reportedly arrived in the country via private jet on August 26 with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The potential move by the Sussex family may facilitate a first personal meeting between Catherine and her niece, Princess Lilibet. While the Princess of Wales previously expressed anticipation to meet the child, direct contact has been limited since Lilibet's birth in 2021.
