Prince William and Kate Prioritise Normal Upbringing for Their Children
Prince William and Princess Catherine are maintaining a hands‑on, low‑tech parenting style for their three children. They have kept all of the youngsters away from mobile phones, with Prince William stating, “None of our children have phones, which we're very strict about,” and adding that the family “sit and chat. It's really important.”
Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter notes that the children face far less pressure than previous generations because the Queen’s long reign delayed the immediate expectation of royal duties. She expects Prince George will eventually undertake military service like his father, but anticipates gap years and university experiences that allow the siblings to pursue their own interests before full royal responsibilities begin.
