Prince William and Ross Kemp launch emergency preparedness initiative
Prince William and television personality Ross Kemp have joined forces to promote emergency preparedness in the United Kingdom. During a visit to Ilminster in Somerset, the Prince of Wales and Kemp launched the National Emergencies Trust’s ‘Ready Together’ toolkit.
The initiative is designed to provide communities across the UK with practical guidance to help them prepare for and respond to various emergencies. Prince William serves as a patron of the National Emergencies Trust, while Kemp acts as an ambassador for the charity.
During the event, the Prince engaged in light-hearted banter with Kemp, a contestant on the BBC series ‘Celebrity Traitors,’ jokingly attempting to elicit spoilers about the show. The collaboration aims to use the influence of popular culture to communicate the importance of proactive emergency planning to a wider audience.
