Prince William makes surprise appearance on Graham Norton Show
Prince William has become the first working member of the British Royal Family to appear as a guest on the BBC’s ‘The Graham Norton Show’. In a special episode dedicated to the Earthshot Prize, the Prince of Wales joined host Graham Norton alongside Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham, and Robert Irwin to discuss the environmental initiative he founded in 2020.
During the interview, William promoted the Earthshot Prize, noting that the upcoming awards ceremony will be held in Mumbai, India. He emphasized the importance of combining urgency with optimism to tackle climate change and environmental crises. The prize aims to support innovators with solutions for protecting nature, cleaning air and oceans, and building a waste-free world.
Moving beyond official duties, the Prince shared personal anecdotes, including his youthful ambitions to become a policeman or a DJ—noting he was “not very good” at the latter. He also discussed his interest in Christopher Nolan’s films, specifically the ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, and mentioned that his children, Charlotte and Louis, are obsessed with the television program ‘The Celebrity Traitors’.
