Prince William hosts cricket event on The Mall to promote Earthshot Prize

Prince William hosted a cricket event on The Mall in London, the prominent road leading to Buckingham Palace, to promote his Earthshot Prize for environmental protection. The event featured several international cricket legends, including former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, West Indian player Brian Lara, and England captain Joe Root.

The activity was organized to highlight sporting ties between the United Kingdom and India, serving as a precursor to the upcoming Earthshot Prize summit and awards ceremony scheduled to take place in India next month. The Earthshot Prize, established by the Prince in 2020, awards five winners annually, each receiving one million pounds to support solutions for planetary restoration and environmental protection.
