Prince William plans to restore Princess Diana’s royal title

Prince William is reportedly considering the posthumous restoration of the “Her Royal Highness” title to his mother, Princess Diana. This symbolic gesture is being planned to coincide with the 30th anniversary of her death in 2027.

Diana lost her formal royal title in 1996 following her divorce from the then-Prince Charles. Sources suggest that William intends to honor a childhood promise to his mother and may wait until his own accession to the throne to officialize the change, thereby avoiding direct interference from King Charles III.

While William is said to be seeking a discreet and permanent tribute, reports indicate that Prince Harry is discussing the production of a new documentary regarding Diana’s legacy to mark the same anniversary.
