Prince William praises Kate Middleton after her Italy trip and cancer recovery
Prince William told Heart Radio that his family "couldn't manage" without Kate Middleton, describing her as an "extraordinary mother and wife" and saying he was "very, very proud" of her return to duties after being diagnosed with cancer in early 2024.
He highlighted her recent two‑day visit to Reggio Emilia, Italy, where she was welcomed by locals and learned about innovative early‑years teaching methods. The trip marked Kate's first foreign engagement since completing six months of chemotherapy, and William said she returned "enthusiastic".
During the interview William also joked about the chaotic school routine, a possible invitation to Taylor Swift's summer wedding, his love of dance music and British scones.
