Princesa Isabel Open Air Museum celebrates 46th anniversary
The Princesa Isabel Open Air Museum is celebrating its 46th anniversary with special programming in Orleans, Santa Catarina. To commemorate its founding on August 30, 1980, the museum has organized two primary events.
On August 27, the museum will host a nighttime experience lit solely by oil lamps, aiming to recreate the atmosphere experienced by early settlers. This event includes live music and food tastings, with limited tickets available via advance purchase.
On August 30, coinciding with the anniversary of both the museum and the emancipation of the municipality of Orleans, the museum will offer free admission to the public from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The initiative seeks to preserve and highlight the history of regional colonization and cultural heritage.
