Strautmann, a former basketball player turned entrepreneur and founder of BSS Monaco, grew up in Monaco after moving from Germany as a child. The engagement features a custom-made ring by Italian jeweler Antinori di Sanpietro, valued at approximately $132,000. The piece is crafted from 18-karat yellow and white gold and centers on a 4.8-carat fancy yellow diamond. The ring includes a hidden design inspired by the geometric patterns of the Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome, a location significant to the couple.
