European royals attend FEI World Equestrian Championships in Aachen

European royals gathered in Aachen, Germany, for the opening of the FEI World Equestrian Championships. Notable attendees included Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands, Queen Mary of Denmark, and Infanta Elena of Spain.

Princess Amalia expressed a deep, lifelong passion for horses, describing her connection to the animals as a “love from childhood.” During the event, she also drew attention to a scar on her arm resulting from a serious riding accident in June 2025.

In the competitive arena, the German team secured gold in dressage, led by riders such as Isabell Werth and Katharina Hemmer. Great Britain took silver, while Denmark earned the bronze medal.
