Princess and Junior Andre barred from I’m A Celebrity spin‑off

ITV has rejected Princess Andre and her brother Junior Andre from appearing on the upcoming I’m A Celebrity spin‑off series, Wild Frontier. A source said the siblings were turned down because they are set to compete in the BBC’s Celebrity Race Across the World, which has not yet aired, and the two programmes are considered too similar. ITV also wanted to avoid the two shows running close together, fearing it would appear as a repeat of the same format. The Andre siblings, whose parents Peter Andre and Katie Price met on the original I’m A Celebrity in 2004, expressed disappointment at the decision. They remain slated to take part in Celebrity Race Across the World, where producers hope their younger audience appeal will boost ratings.
