Princess Anne launches five‑day South Korea visit amid focus on her children’s public lives

Princess Anne, the UK’s most active royal diplomat, arrived in South Korea on 13 July 2026 with husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence to begin a five‑day tour. The itinerary includes a memorial service at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan honoring British and Commonwealth troops from the Korean War, meetings on maritime manufacturing, advanced technologies, and cultural exchange, a courtesy call to Save the Children Korea, and a closed‑door discussion with President Lee Jae‑myung. The visit will continue in Thailand on 16‑17 July, where Anne will be received by King Maha Vajiralongkorn, Queen Suthida and Queen Sirikit, meet the Thai prime minister, and engage with Save the Children Thailand, women in STEM, and health‑security initiatives.

The tour follows public interest in Anne’s family. Her children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, grew up without royal titles. Peter, a former royal grandchild now in sports‑management entrepreneurship, and Zara, an Olympic‑medal‑winning equestrian and mother of three, remain prominent figures at royal events despite their non‑royal status. Their careers and personal lives have been highlighted in recent media coverage, underscoring the balance between private pursuits and royal duties.
