Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's popularity drops amid family scandal

A YouGov poll released in July shows that only about 30 % of Britons have a positive view of Princess Beatrice and 29 % of Princess Eugenie, placing the sisters behind Prince Harry in public opinion. Their decline follows the fallout from their father Prince Andrew’s association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which led to his removal from royal duties, loss of military titles and eviction from the family home, Royal Lodge. King Charles III has further stripped Andrew of his titles, intensifying the negative perception of the wider York family. In the wake of the scandal, the princesses have been sidelined from high‑profile events such as Royal Ascot. On 30 July, Princess Beatrice made a low‑key appearance at Fortnum & Mason in London, wearing a Kitri Studio dress and £50 Zara ballet flats, a move seen as an effort to keep a low profile ahead of her 38th birthday.
