Princess Catherine underscores holistic care at Manchester cancer centre

Princess Catherine of Wales visited the Christie NHS Foundation Trust cancer centre in Manchester, wearing a cobalt‑blue dress and symbolic jewellery. The outfit was intended to honour the National Health Service and highlight the importance of holistic therapies alongside clinical treatment for cancer patients. During the visit she spoke about her own experience with cancer, recalling her January surgery that detected malignant cells and urging families to support each other through the disease. The centre treats around 60,000 patients annually and offers free complementary holistic treatments.

Catherine’s visit aims to raise public awareness of the need for comprehensive care for cancer sufferers and to encourage continued support for NHS services.
