Princess Charlotte receives hug from Mary Poppins actress with help from Kate

Princess Charlotte Kate Middleton Zizi Strallen Mary Poppins musical British Royal Family

Actress Zizi Strallen has shared a memory regarding a backstage meeting with the British Royal Family following her 2022 performance in the Mary Poppins musical in London's West End.

Strallen recalled that Princess Catherine brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte backstage to meet her. Because Princess Charlotte was too shy to ask for a hug herself, Catherine intervened by asking the actress, “Would it be okay if Charlotte could hug Mary Poppins?”

The actress described the interaction as a very tender and sweet moment. The royal visit occurred during a period when the family, including the Beckhams, were frequent attendees of West End productions.
