Princess Cruises mega-ships Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards cruise industry

Princess Cruises has been named the best mega-ship cruise line in the Condé Nast Traveler 2026 Readers' Choice Awards. The ranking surpassed major competitors including Royal Caribbean, MSC, Carnival, and Norwegian.

The recognition follows the launch of the company’s Sphere-class vessels, such as the Sun Princess and the upcoming Star Princess. These mega-ships, defined by the awards as vessels carrying 4,000 or more passengers, feature liquefied natural gas propulsion and unique glazed domes covering multi-tiered decks. The Sun Princess, for example, accommodates 4,300 passengers and a crew of 1,600.
