Princess Cruises to cease local operations in Taiwan

Princess Cruises has announced it will cease local operations in Taiwan. As of August 31, 2026, the website, social media platforms, and local sales operations of its Taiwan branch, managed by Carnival Taiwan, will stop functioning. Consequently, new bookings can no longer be made through local channels.

Despite the exit of its local branch, the Taiwan Port Authority stated that scheduled cruise calls for this year remain unaffected. However, itineraries for 2027 and 2028 may undergo adjustments. The company plans to continue communicating with operators to manage future schedules.

For existing bookings, Princess Cruises has indicated it will provide appropriate contact information and support to assist passengers. The Tourism Administration is working with the Port Authority to develop strategic policies to attract other international cruise lines to Taiwan's ports, including Keelung and Kaohsiung.
