Princess Isabella completes military REX tour in Denmark

Princess Isabella of Denmark has completed the traditional REX tour, a multi-day military exercise through Southern Jutland. The 19-year-old, daughter of King Frederik, participated alongside other conscripts from the Slagelse barracks.

Upon returning to the barracks, participants were awarded the REX badge, which features the King's monogram. The Danish Royal House shared images of the Princess in camouflage gear, noting that the royal family has gained a “new guard hussar.”

Isabella began her eleven-month military service on August 3 and is among the first women to complete the extended basic military service in Denmark. Under current regulations, conscription applies to women starting at age 18, though only a portion of each cohort is called to service.
