Princess Kate maintains royal traditions while setting new boundaries

Princess Kate is reportedly modernizing certain aspects of royal life while maintaining traditional protocols. According to biographer Tom Quinn in ‘Yes Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants’, the Princess of Wales has categorically prohibited the practice of ‘blooding’ for her children. This traditional hunting ritual involves smearing the blood of the first animal killed on a child’s face.

Prince William reportedly shares his wife’s stance, as the couple navigates traditional royal pastimes that are increasingly viewed as socially unacceptable. This marks a departure from the experiences of Prince Harry and Prince William, who both participated in the ritual during their youth.

In recent public engagements, the Princess has also drawn attention for her fashion choices and personal interactions. During a visit to the Ty Hafan children’s hospice in South Wales, she engaged in a creative activity with children, where she made a lighthearted remark regarding her own appearance while participating in a hand-painting craft.
