Princess Kate visits Reggio Emilia for early childhood studies
During a recent visit to Reggio Emilia, Italy, the Princess of Wales participated in a pasta-making workshop at the Agriturismo 'Al Vigneto' farm in Parma. While attempting to use a machine to prepare tortelli, the Princess accidentally knocked the handle to the floor, prompting a lighthearted reaction where she joked, “I’ve broken it!”
The chef, Signor Lampredi, assisted her in fixing the machine, and the interaction concluded with the chef jokingly telling her she was “hired.” The two-day visit focused on educational sites as part of the Princess's work regarding early childhood studies. Following the trip, she expressed gratitude for the warmth of the local community and noted the importance of human connection in a child's development.
