Princess Lalla Meryem receives Jerusalem children in Rabat

Princess Lalla Meryem received 50 children from Jerusalem at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat as part of the 17th edition of the summer camp organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency. Held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, the program is titled ‘Manarat Assalam’ (Beacon of Peace) and runs from August 12 to 26, 2026.

The participating children, aged 11 to 14, are accompanied by five supervisors from Jerusalem. The camp includes educational trips, cultural visits, and sporting activities, such as a summer school in Skhirat and excursions to cities like Tangier, Tetouan, and Fnideq. Participants have also engaged in cultural exchanges with Moroccan children to foster bonds of solidarity.

Since its inception in 2008, the summer camp initiative has benefited a total of 850 children from various neighborhoods in Jerusalem. The program aims to support the residents of the Holy City through humanitarian, cultural, and pedagogical projects, reflecting Morocco's ongoing support for the Palestinian people.
