Princess Leonor attends Princess of Asturias Awards in Oviedo

Princess Leonor of Asturias participated in the Princess of Asturias Awards in Oviedo, marking a significant moment in her public duties. During the event, she held her first solo audience at the Hotel de la Reconquista to meet with the 2026 award winners, including astronaut Christina Koch, footballer Lionel Messi, singer Patti Smith, and writer Julian Barnes.

In addition to her morning duties, the future Queen of Spain presented the eight Princess of Asturias Awards during an evening ceremony. The event was attended by the Spanish Royal Family, including King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Infanta Sofia, and Queen Sofia.

Leonor’s appearance drew attention for her fashion choices, which included a pink ensemble for her solo audience and a burgundy midi dress by Hannibal Laguna for the evening ceremony, paired with ruby earrings belonging to her grandmother.
