Princess Leonor to increase public role at Asturias Awards

Princess Leonor of Spain is set to take on a more prominent public role during the upcoming Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony in Oviedo on Friday, October 23. This event marks a significant step in her increasing visibility as the heir to the Spanish throne.

King Felipe VI has expressed his intention to gradually cede more public space to his eldest daughter, noting her growing maturity and active role in public life. The ceremony at the Campoamor Theater will follow her expected appearance on October 12 for the National Day celebrations.
