Princess Lindiwe funeral: Apostle Masakona honors her legacy

Apostle Professor Azwidowi Maxwell Masakona delivered a tribute to the late Princess Lindiwe, wife of Bishop Robert Kasaro, during her funeral services in Sidvokodvo. Masakona described the Princess's passing as the loss of a “library of knowledge, wisdom and experience,” noting that her death represents a loss to her family, the church, and the nation.

During the memorial service at the Jesus Calls Worship Centre, Masakona advised Bishop Kasaro to continue referring to his late wife by her name rather than as “the deceased,” arguing that using her name preserves her identity and presence in the memories of those left behind. He emphasized that even in death, individuals should be acknowledged as they were in life, citing biblical examples where deceased figures are spoken of by name.

Princess Lindiwe, who also served as Minister for Home Affairs, is scheduled to be laid to rest at her marital home on August 26, 2026.
