Princess Lindiwe to be accorded State Funeral in Eswatini

The government of Eswatini has announced that the late Minister for Home Affairs, Her Royal Highness Princess Lindiwe, will be accorded a State Funeral this weekend to honor her national service.

A State Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Jesus Calls Worship Centre in Matsapha, beginning at 10 am. The State Funeral will follow on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at her home in Sidvokodvo, starting at 6 am after a night vigil service.

Princess Lindiwe, who had served as Minister for Home Affairs since 2018, passed away on September 16, 2026, while receiving medical treatment. Acting Deputy Prime Minister S’khumbuzo Dlamini and Prime Minister Russell Dlamini both noted her dedicated service to the Crown and the kingdom. A Condolence Book has been opened at the Ministry of Home Affairs for the public to pay their respects to the Kasaro family.
