Princess Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, climbed the three highest peaks in the United Kingdom—Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales)—in under 24 hours. The solo endurance trek was part of the National Three Peaks Challenge and raised funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, an organisation that supports holistic care for cancer patients.

Having announced her remission after a cancer diagnosis in 2024 and treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital, the princess used the climb to highlight that “cancer does not only affect the body; it changes how you think and feel” and to advocate for a whole‑person approach to treatment. She posted on social media: “I have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back.”

Family members—including Prince William, their three children, her parents and brother—greeted her at the final summit. The challenge also featured a meeting with an 11‑year‑old paraplegic boy and his family, who were fundraising for a children’s charity, underscoring the event’s broader charitable impact.
