Princess Kate's Three Peaks Challenge Raises Funds for Cancer Charity

Princess Catherine, the Princess of Wales, completed the National Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours – to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the hospital where she received treatment for her 2024 cancer diagnosis. At Wimbledon she was recorded in the "Overheard at Wimbledon" series with former tennis player Tim Henman and All England Club chair Debbie Jevans. She said, “The weather was atrocious… it was a very stoically British thing to do,” and added, “I’ve just been blown away by all the donations… that’s what keeps you going.” The challenge generated generous public support, which she described as overwhelming. Family members, including Prince William, the children and her brother James Middleton, celebrated her achievement, with James posting a tribute about a promise made during her treatment. Media coverage also noted her choice of jewellery and a hidden microphone during the Wimbledon appearance.
