Princess of Wales meets disabled fan and honors cancer‑survivor player at Wimbledon

The Princess of Wales, Catherine, attended the Wimbledon Championships and spent time with a 12‑year‑old fan, Thea Stach, who has cerebral palsy and autism. The royal congratulated Stach, who performed the coin toss at the Ladies' Wheelchair Singles Final, and thanked Wimbledon staff for their work.

During the same visit the princess met Canadian tennis player Gabriela Dabrowski, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer yet continues to compete. Catherine described Dabrowski as “inspirational” and said sport demonstrates that the body remains strong. The princess also interacted with other young participants, including Shirley Rodriguez Yugsi, who performed the coin toss for the women's singles final, and praised their involvement in the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative.
