Princess of Wales thanks Carabinieri after security-backed visit to Reggio Emilia

Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales concluded her two‑day visit to the province of Reggio Emilia, Italy, on May 13‑14 with a personal thank‑you to the local Carabinieri. Before returning to the United Kingdom, she shook hands with operators involved in the security operation and praised their professionalism and humanity.

The provincial Carabinieri command coordinated a comprehensive protection plan that involved special‑operations units, an investigative nucleus and the local station in Guastalla. The deployment was described as flexible yet effective, allowing the princess to interact freely with schools and other public venues while maintaining safety. Colonel Orlando Hiromi Narducci and Major Spinelli were highlighted for their roles in liaising with British authorities.
