Princess of Wales visits East Anglia children’s hospice

The Princess of Wales visited The Treehouse children’s hospice in Ipswich, Suffolk, to observe an expansion project. During the visit, she toured a construction site for a new hydrotherapy pool, wellbeing and therapies suite, and expanded care areas. She met with several children and families receiving palliative support, including a young girl with a rare congenital heart defect and a teenager with a genetic muscle disorder.

Following the hospice visit, the Princess visited Café 98 in Hoveton, a charity shop operated by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), for which she serves as patron. While interacting with shoppers, she expressed that she has missed her eldest son, Prince George, since he began boarding at Eton College last month. She noted that she is looking forward to having her children home for the upcoming half-term break.
