Princess Sofia attends Swedish Parliament opening

Princess Sofia of Sweden made her return to the official state ceremony for the opening of the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm. This appearance follows a hiatus from the event last year due to her maternity leave after the birth of Princess Ines.

Attending alongside Prince Carl Philip, the Princess adhered to the traditional black-and-white dress code that dates back to an 18th-century court costume from 1778. While Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria incorporated more white into their attire, Princess Sofia opted for a black, form-fitting jacket and matching midi skirt with a prominent white collar.

The ceremony included a service at Stockholm Cathedral before the formal proceedings in Parliament, where King Carl XVI Gustaf delivered his annual address.
