Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie face declining popularity in UK

New polling data from YouGov indicates a decline in public approval for Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. According to findings released on October 29, 2026, Beatrice holds a net popularity rating of minus two, with 29 percent of respondents expressing approval and 31 percent expressing disapproval. Princess Eugenie holds a net rating of minus three, with 28 percent approval and 31 percent disapproval.

The decline follows a significant drop in popularity during the summer, which was attributed to the ongoing fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal involving their father, Prince Andrew. Reports suggest the sisters' names appear frequently in documents released by US authorities, and allegations have surfaced regarding their mother, Sarah Ferguson, dining with Epstein shortly after his release from prison.

Public perception has also been impacted by discussions regarding the rental conditions and potential royal funding of their London residences in St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace. Consequently, the sisters have been absent from several major royal events this year, including the Easter services at Windsor, Royal Ascot, and Buckingham Palace garden parties.
