Princewill Umanmielen served in Ole Miss lawsuit ahead of LSU game

LSU defensive end Princewill Umanmielen was served legal papers in a breach-of-contract lawsuit filed by the University of Mississippi. The documents were reportedly delivered in the parking lot of LSU’s football facility on a Tuesday, just days before a highly anticipated matchup between No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss.

The lawsuit, originally filed in July, alleges that Umanmielen and offensive lineman Devin Harper owe the university a combined $950,000 in unpaid buyouts and penalties. The dispute stems from revenue-sharing and NIL agreements signed in early January, which the university claims were breached when both players transferred to LSU within a 90-day window following the departure of head coach Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss is seeking $550,000 from Umanmielen and $400,000 from Harper, along with legal fees. While the legal action has been pending for months, the timing of the service adds significant tension to the upcoming rivalry game in Oxford, marking Kiffin’s first return to the university since his move to LSU.
