Nebius scales AI cloud capacity with 5GW power guidance
Nebius Group N.V. is experiencing rapid growth in the artificial intelligence infrastructure sector, with revenue projected to quadruple this year. In the second quarter, the company reported $582.3 million in revenue, a 454% increase year-over-year, driven largely by its AI cloud unit.
To support this expansion, Nebius has repeatedly raised its contracted power guidance. The company now expects to have 5 gigawatts of contracted power capacity by the end of 2026, up from previous estimates of 3 and 4 gigawatts. This capacity growth is supported by a long-term infrastructure supply agreement with Meta Platforms, valued at up to $27 billion, which includes a five-year, $12 billion dedicated deal and an additional $15 billion in compute purchases.
Nebius distinguishes itself from general-purpose cloud providers like Amazon Web Services by offering a specialized AI-native cloud. This service provides non-virtualized GPU clusters and tools specifically designed for training, fine-tuning, and inference of large-scale AI models.
