Principote Mykonos denies link to fatal Albanian beach bar incident

Principote Mykonos has issued a formal statement distancing itself from a beach bar in Ksamil, Albania, following the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old Portuguese tourist, Luis Miguel Varela Mendes.

The Mykonos-based company clarified that it has no business, ownership, or legal relationship with the Albanian establishment. Principote Mykonos alleges that the venue in Ksamil is using its name illegally to benefit from its international reputation. The company stated it has already initiated legal action against the Albanian business for unfair competition and unauthorized use of its brand.

The incident occurred during a violent altercation at the Ksamil venue. Albanian authorities are investigating the circumstances of the death, with reports indicating that approximately 12 to 13 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
