Prinsenkasteel in Grimbergen completes major conservation works

As part of the Open Monumentendag on September 13, the Prinsenkasteel in Grimbergen will be highlighted following the completion of extensive conservation works. The project, which spanned two years, aimed to secure the castle ruins and prevent further decay of the historic site.

Local officials Karlijne Van Bree and Philip Roosen noted that the intervention was not a traditional restoration but a necessary measure to stabilize the ruins for future generations. A newly constructed platform and scaffolding will allow for safer public access, enabling the site to host workshops, concerts, and other cultural activities through the MOT.
