Priolo Gargallo Mayor calls for provincial summit on healthcare and new hospital

Pippo Gianni, the mayor of Priolo Gargallo, has formally requested that Siracusa Mayor Francesco Italia convene a meeting of the Provincial Health Committee. The request aims to initiate an institutional dialogue regarding the current state of the provincial healthcare system.

A primary focus of the proposed meeting is to obtain updates on the development of the new Siracusa hospital. Gianni is seeking clarity on the project’s timeline, ongoing administrative procedures, and concrete prospects for its realization.

Beyond the new construction, the proposal includes addressing operational challenges within existing hospital facilities.
