Priolo Gargallo police raid results in 35 warrants over drug and vote‑swap allegations

A coordinated police and Carabinieri operation in Priolo Gargallo, Sicily, led by the prosecutor's office of Sergio Randazzo, concluded with the issuance of 35 formal guarantees. The individuals named are suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and alleged vote‑selling activities.

The investigation, launched in 2022, initially focused on the Marina di Priolo beach area and expanded through environmental wiretaps and further inquiries, uncovering a network of relationships under judicial scrutiny. Two former municipal administrators are among those detained, with additional precautionary measures imposed by the court.
