Priscilla Otti provides N20m support for disabled women in Abia State

Priscilla Otti, wife of the Abia State Governor, has provided N20m in financial assistance and food items to 400 women living with disabilities. The outreach took place in Umuahia, the state capital, through the Safe Tent Care Initiative, an organization founded by Otti.

Otti stated that the intervention aims to provide practical support for those facing economic hardships, including unemployment, medical expenses, and social exclusion. She noted that the initiative is intended to be a frequent occurrence rather than a one-time event.

According to Otti, her office has been engaged with the disability community since 2023. Previous efforts include a food and cash outreach benefiting over 600 persons with disabilities in 2024, and business support provided to approximately 100 entrepreneurs with disabilities in 2025.
