Priscilla, Queen of the Desert sequel in development

Cast members of the 1994 Australian film ‘The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ have provided updates regarding a potential sequel. Actor Guy Pearce indicated that the project is currently in the stages of finalizing the script and securing funding. He suggested a possible production timeline involving filming in 2027 with a release in 2028.

Hugo Weaving also noted that the project is moving closer to reality, mentioning that he has reviewed several script drafts. Director Stephan Elliott has been involved in the development process. It was also noted that Terence Stamp filmed scenes for the sequel prior to his death.
